@dorm two quick thoughts while brushing teeth:

1) i’ve recently noticed that those items which are portrayed to be valuable or rare or of high quality are naturally more desirable and we, as consumers, are driven toward such items subconsciously…

case in point: the pitch of not being able to distribute my music because it is under contract and will be on an album naturally increases the quality of and demand for this music..hmm

i guess gossip also goes under this category eh

2) mozilla, google, apple each found a niche market and proved that it is indeed the best in its department (by a landslide)
