@work lookin forward to goin to LA tonight and seeing flayy…so the big day has arrived, tiger OS X is out and the world is changed forever, hehe not really but on a more serious note, i wonder just how many of the copies running on users’ systems will be legal…too bad i won’t be running the OS anytime soon until Digidesign certifies pro tools for 10.4…
Seeing Aart de Geus speak on thursday was pretty inspiring…key memorable msgs from his speech: 1) the prototype is extremely important when pitching a new idea or business concept to VCs… 2) leaders must possess –in addition to knowledge, skills, decision-making, etc.– a certain level of courage even if that means admitting faults/mistakes/weaknesses…i guess the prototype of this music venture is the album…speaking of which, it was nice to hear a slew of criticism about the music from a friend mike lee recently…good reality check and ego-crasher, not to mention some very good points that were brought up!
yea this is a long post, just spitting out some thoughts…just started to realize that i have to watch my spending patterns now that i may be parting from my job for the summer (if not longer)…and may have to pay for food and living expenses, etc…another good reality check and i guess i’ll spend less on those guilty pleasures such as computer-stuff and music crap…just saw my manager swing by my cube (7:10pm!!) heh, was visiting with his wife.
work was productive today, got the lab authentication system set up in the lab and it’s time to start monitoring and “debugging” the system…it’ll be exciting to present this project to sjsu engineering at the end of the semester, looking forward to that…outttt
