    tribute to work

    Posted on 13 June 2005

@home this past friday was my last day at my company and it turned out to be a bit more touching than i thought it would be, i guess leaving such an environment after being there for an entire year can sever some pretty strong ties with the culture, friends, and memories…not to mention all the time/work i’ve devoted to the company.. in retrospect, it was a great experience and i couldn’t have asked for a better co-op environment in terms of how much i learned/grew and the awesome teammates i worked with. i guess it was also a bit on the sad end because everyone from our team of co-ops is moving on more or less, whether it’s permanent employment in our dept. or elsewhere (or leaving).. on a positive note, it was really awesome to get my first taste of corporate culture/politics, to establish such great contacts for future reference, and above all, the friends i’ve met and will stay in contact with even after we are all on our own paths.. it kinda bites that lynbrook ppl from 2002 are starting to work around the silicon valley this summer.. and i bail hahaha but all good in the hood

i’m gonna miss the good times:

    1) co-worker cutdowns

    2) geek talk esoteric to our team CALO

    3) table tennis competitions and getting my ass handed to me by rashid

    4) wrestling on PS2

    5) weekend shifts (was not so fun during winter break/spring semester..but i really will miss it!)

    6) stressful days from customers’ cases

    7) bets that i always lose

    8) straits cafe/going out to lunch/hangin out outside of work

    9) unlimited water / popcorn /etc.. hahaha

    10) bootstraps

    it’s time to move on..
