    weekend

So these last couple days have been pretty nuts/hectic… visited flay
in LA from Thursday night to Sunday night which was a great “vacation”
if you will.. attended an interesting concert (Acid for life flay :-D)
and hung out with flay… then came back Sunday night, and the mayhem
    begins…

Monday: We engaged in a 5+ hour mastering session at the Plant Studios
in Sausalito for the album, the place is really cool and the mastering
room is pretty phenomenal. Our mastering engineer, John Cuniberti, is
a pretty famous figure in the music industry.. having mixed and
produced albums of Joe Satriani and The Dead Kennedys, etc. (from
website info).. The Plant is pretty famous as well, the new American
Idol Carrie Underwood just recorded her new album there.. and albums
from Dave Matthews Band to Norah Jones to Mudvayne have all been
mixed/mastered there.. well, bottom line is the album music is
officially done now.. the rollercoaster of hard
work/recording/singing/editing/mixing/etc. and long nights has finally
come to a halt (i think –you can never be sure).. so i am really
relieved and the album sounds pretty awesome, we spent so much time on
the song order and worked endless hours up until the very last day
before mastering (actually, the early morning before hehe)… and the
work has definitely paid off :-)

Tuesday: Woke up at 7:00AM in the morning (slept at 1:30AM due to hw)
and drove with Chuck to a beach in Half Moon Bay to meet up with the
music video crew to shoot the final scenes for the Purple Ring music
video.. think the footage looks pretty cool, it’s so great how much
attention the crew puts into every little detail… from the subtlest
lighting item to… yea.. haha but, it’s cool we finished at about
12:00PM.. had lunch with Chuck, then headed to school to attend
mandatory lab (had to skip 3 other classes today).. got back a lab
    report that i did pretty poorly on… i guess it’s a reminder that i
need to pay some more attention to my courses and studying, etc…
been pretty caught up in the music stuff recently

Good news has been coming from various entertainment sources overseas
in Taiwan.. High hopes and spirits for the reception of our demo
    music..

    Rock on…
