Taiwan Idiosyncrasies

I’ve been in Taiwan for about a week or two and noticed some interested things, here are some interesting facts about Taiwan:

Grocery bags cost money at supermarkets — about 5 cents US each.

There is an IKEA Taiwan (and CostCo) — this was kinda surprising to me.

There are full-service Haagen Dazs ice cream places here (i.e. sit down, order, etc.)

Taipei 101 in downtown Taipei is the tallest building in the world.

Supermarkets have the option to deliver the items you just bought to your residence (since many ppl walk or drive mopeds).
