you know.. i had a weird moment today when i remembered those fun junior high and high school days, i think i saw some school kids with their parents today and it randomly triggered some youthful memories.. so here’s a blog dedicated to those times.

i miss those days in junior high when i would go to eric or paul’s house after school and we would plug in our electric guitar / bass / drums and play rock music as loud as we could even without earplugs. and dreaming about playing in front of the school while writing some repetitive, cliche songs that seemed so amazing at the time! :)

i miss brunch time.. when we would go outside and play basketball or hang out in cliques and buy some fries or chocolate milk or burritos.. or talk about the girls that we thought were good-looking or the crushes we had.. and swapping little notes to our friends or to that secret crush via a “messenger” friend..

i miss secretly talking in class with friends and getting caught by the teacher and getting verbally punished in front of the entire class.. or mouthing messages back and forth with friends across the room and getting caught yet again.. or anxiously waiting for the bell to ring as you watch the last 10 seconds tick by on the clock on the wall..

i miss high school math study sessions.. where we would get together at a friend’s house and get to work.. and start talking about gossip or who’s going to ask who to the dance.. or what we’re going to do during the upcoming vacation or break..

i miss that routine walk with a certain friend every block day from class a to class b.. and waiting outside for that person until he/she comes out and you both chat and walk to the next class together.. and poking fun at other people to the verge of annoyance :)

i guess there are a lot of other things i miss about those days, but these are definitely some highlights.. it’s kinda sad to think that we’ll never really revisit those days and that we will never be that age again.. or the fact that we are no longer as close to some friends as we were in the past.. but life is life.. and we move on, i just hope that i can remain youthful for as long as possible before i really become an adult :p
