interesting analysis of the cost of a Sony Playstation 3 from engadget:
the article mentions that although it may cost this much to put together the PS3, gaming companies are always at a loss when the consoles first hit the market.. so we’re looking at somewhere in the 500-600 category for retail? that’s a lot.
maybe not for hardcore gamers.
