Tivoli Table Radio, An iPod-esque Concept

    Posted on 01 November 2006

I was at Target earlier today and as I was walking by the entertainment section, a product caught my eye.

Eye candy. A table radio by Tivoli Audio. These things look stunning in person. A fusion of the retro look combined with cutting-edge internals. It’s been claimed the best sounding table radio ever by MSNBC. I think this product and the iPod have many similarities:

    - Stunning aesthetics
    - Costly ($120 for this radio)
    - Claims major superiority over others of its kind (elitist)
    - Ridculously simple w/one function

What about success? We’ll have to wait and see. Personally, I see yuppies with a lot of cash and no real need for a radio buying this product. It’s really some major eye candy. Like the iPod, the appearance takes priority over the practicality of the product.

Seriously though, would you pay $120 for a radio?

Woah! that is one cool radio, it reminds me of one my grandparents use to have by their bed. I would drop 120 on that bad boy.
