Southwest Airlines is Fantastic
I think Southwest Airlines is awesome. Why?
This past weekend, my flight from LA back to San Jose was scheduled for 10:40am. I missed the flight by a hair and felt really damn sucky. So I went and asked the service desk if I would be able to get on any other flights that day. Every flight was booked full but they said they would try their best to get me on the next flight.
The bottom line: I ended up getting on the next flight. But that’s not the point.
I talked to 4-5 Southwest employees that day. I was impressed by the genuine desire of each of these people to help me in whatever way they could. It made me feel good. So good that I wanted to give each employee a hug after the convo. Seriously.
I’ve experienced my fair share of cranky airline personnel and Southwest didn’t fall under that category this weekend.

Not to mention the endless discounts that Southwest offers. Definitely my preferred airline for domestic flights.
