Top 5 Reasons Blog Readers don’t Leave Comments
Posted on 13 December 2006
We have all been conditioned to believe that the number of comments on a blog is directly correlated with its coolness level (credibility and popularity).
Here are Tony’s top 5 why blog readers won’t comment on entries:
1. Uninterested in Topic
2. “Will _______ think it’s weird when seeing that I read his/her blog?”
3. The Comments Virgin :p
4. Takes too much time & energy
5. “What’s the point?”

The no-comments blog (L) vs. the comments-galore blog (R)
Your duty as a blogger? To cleanse your readers of these reasons!
How?
Tomorrow’s post :)

I’ll comment when there is something I feel like I could ADD to the conversation. It would be cool though, if other people commented on my comments.
My blog is not the same as your blog. I basically write whatever is on my mind with no real structure or purpose. A lot of the times I write stuff just to seem controversial or edgy. All I really want is for people to chuckle a little when they read my entries and feel a little better about their life situation. Haha….sort of.

Thx for the comments guys, although these are my top 5, I’m sure there many other reasons for not commenting on blog entries.
Tomorrow I’ll be posting solutions to these top 5.
