A BIG Thanks to YOU
I’ll be honest. Initially, I didn’t think it was a good idea to promote my involvement in the LJ competition on geekwhat.com. It’s self-promotion, a bit random, and I didn’t think that many people would be interested. But I decided to do it nonetheless.
All I have to say is…
You are all so awesome.
A few facts:
-
1. My goal: 2,500 votes (top 10)
2. Final outcome: 3,192 votes! (#18) –the standards jumped quite a bit
3. Almost certain I’ve made it to the next round. *fingers crossed*

I am waiting to be notified whether I made it to the next round. I will keep you all posted. Special SPECIAL thanks to everyone on the A List and to each of you who spent extra time in front of the computer refreshing and voting! AND to those of you who evangelized my beats to your buddies! (I will keep the A List up until Wednesday of this week)
I’m really quite speechless. You all made this happen. YOU allowed me to progress to the next round. Thank you.

All you man. I tried playing with the Flash turntable myself, and got lost. Good luck in the next round!

Thanks everyone! Basically the top 100 most voted beats will proceed to the next round. Those beats will be judged by a panel consisting of record label ppl, producers, etc. I think they will then filter it out to 23 beats. And then 1.

haha wow…how many votes did #1 get? thats ridic…you know whoever placed higher was shamelessly promoting themselves too…i mean…the average person would never have heard of this contest unless they knew someone involved in it. you kick ass anyway :D

#1 had 10,000+ votes, but the point was to just get into the top 100. So 3,000+ votes did the trick. Thanks Grace, appreciate your support!
