First time ever at Google rank #1
Wow, it is 12:52AM right now and this is officially the first moment ever in my existence that I’ve seen ‘Geekwhat.com’ as the first hit on Google when I search for ‘tony chung’. This is amazing. I marvelled at the screen before me, screenshot it, and marvelled some more. (I’ve been lingering in the #2-5 ranking forever)
As I told you before, I am a shameless fool who does vanity searches on Google all the time. But that’s okay, cause Matt is with me on this one. ;)
How to improve your Google ranking?
Short answer: Persistence. Keep blogging, informing, commenting, and spreading the good word. Get others involved. And stay passionate.
I can now sleep in peace and harmony. Thank you all so much for linking, visiting, commenting, and keepin’ it real here at my blog. You’re all amazing. I will continue to write better and more interesting posts for you.

And responding to comments. How much do you hate it when you take the time to write out a well-thought comment on someone’s blog, only to see it languish there? The whole blog medium is based on two-way communication. Enjoy it.
Speak yer mind, say yer piece, and respond when others do the same.

I checked my stats and it seems like I’ve been getting some more traffic these few days. Could be from the start of passing out cards that I got from Moo.com that include my blog address at a recent mixer event.
BTW, how exactly do you check your Pagerank?
Amen DG! Eric, you’re right, I’m not a “shamless fool”, but instead a “shameless fool” :-))

Using your name as your domain name (and a bit of traffic) dramatically increases the chances of your site showing up first on a google search.
So good job!
Unfortunately tonychung.com has been purchased by someone else :/
