What is Web 2.0?? The Internet in a 4:30 Video.

    Posted on 08 February 2007

Douglas Karr posted an awesome video on his site that I think everyone should watch.  Have you heard of the term Web 2.0?  Learn about the evolution of the internet from the HTML days to the del.icio.us times.  In only 4 minutes and 30 seconds.

The internet is a fascinating tool and it just becomes more and more powerful.  Even presidential candidates are learning that they can’t win without support from netizens.  For lack of a better description, the internet is our b*tch and we just keep making it do more and more for us.

Will the internet take us over one day like Frankenstein did to his master?

“The internet is our b*tch”…Now that’s poetry and motivation…

      How about “indispensable”?

To answer your question: yes, I think so. I think in some ways it already has. We have become dependent on the Internet for e-mail, information, social networks, paying our bills, etc. And at the same time, we have yet to get a hold of Internet crime like identity theft, online predators, internet fraud, child exploitation… (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Internet_crime)
