Robert Scoble and John Chow do the Damn Thang

Today has been pretty phenomenal for Geekwhat and Talkmatic for two reasons:

John Chow wrote and entry about our chat with him on Talkmatic and it led to the highest amount of traffic we’ve seen on the site so far (granted it’s in its infancy). There were over 15 comments on his entry with some good reviews of the interview, that makes me happy. We do it for you all!
- I went to PodTech in Palo Alto today to have a chat with Robert Scoble. He was nice enough to mention my blog on his site. The result? My RSS readers nearly doubled today to the highest it’s ever been, 92.
So what you ask?
John Chow and Robert Scoble write two of the most read blogs on the Internet. Why are they the most read? Look at #1 and 2 above. They are generous. They are both very giving and willing to share. As I had mentioned, Talkmatic is in its infancy (a month or so) but even so, John Chow is willing to help a brother out and be interviewed (and post about it). Robert really didn’t have to post anything about me. But he wanted to share the love.
These are the reasons that John and Robert are on top of their game. Bottom line: Be generous. Help others.. Thanks!!

I absolutely agree with your bottom line.
If only it were that easy for everybody, right? Give a guy a dollar and the # of your subscribers doubles. Or, help an old lady cross the street and woohoo, promotion! These days you have to be wary if that old lady will sue…
