I wanted to follow up on the Sprite Lebron James songwriting competition results. Looks like I didn’t make the top 3. Boo =/ Am I disappointed? Initially, yes a bit.. but I got over it. It was a great opportunity and challenge.

I learned two very valuable points from the experience:

1. The power of the internet and social communities as tools in spreading the word. Pitching through a video on YouTube and reaching out to my friends on Facebook really did the trick! (not to mention blogs)
2. How incredibly cool and supportive the people surrounding me are. Seriously, if it weren’t for your support, there’d be no chance of even making it as far as I did.

Those two lessons alone are enough to make this experience totally worthwhile. Plus Lebron James listened to my music :) I’m excited for future challenges and opportunities. I really am. I’m fired up!
