Geekwhat Voicemail Competition!
Posted on 13 March 2007
Yesterday you may have noticed a new and cool little function on my blog:
Press it =) It basically allows you to easily leave voicemails for me (from Odeo.com) . All you need is a mic for your laptop or PC. I want to experiment and try something cool with this voicemail feature.
So how about this?
- Leave me a voicemail and talk about anything you want — pitch a product, promote your blog, introduce yourself, talk about your favorite band, whatever. (keep it under 2 minutes)
- Do it between now and Friday, March 16th.
On Friday, I’ll post my favorite voicemail with a shout-out to you and/or your product. It’ll be fun! Be heard by 100 RSS readers and hundreds of more people who visit geekwhat.com!

I don’t think I have a mic on my laptop :(

I guess that’s the main drawback to this service. But it’s interesting that mics haven’t yet become a standard for laptops. I await the day when a killer app comes out that is totally mic-reliant.
