You think the Bulls will defeat Wade and Shaq? Not to mention Zo Mourning!
I find that hard to believe….
Not so sure about Toronto, but New Jersey’s current record is worse.

i don’t think miami would last long in the series because of wade and his injuries (although not nearly as bad as the wizards). but i guess we can all agree about the mavs are going all the way this year.

Game 7- McCovey’s Restaurant (Walnut Creek)
Oh, and BTW, the Warriors will be the Mav’s in 6

“Oh, and BTW, the Warriors will be(at) the Mav’s in 6″
It’s no longer April Fool’s day Nii. You’re kidding right? :)

That’s what I’m talking about…some D-town love. I agree with your picks of the West. Golden State will be tougher than some people think, but I agree with your west.
Bulls are going to beat the Heat in the first round. They’re a strong team. The raptors will win in the first round also (look at their record since December and they’re in the top 5 winnings in the NBA). I don’t think the Raptors can beat the Cavs, so I have the Cavaliers and the Pistons in the East Finals with the Pistons going on to the Final Round. Mavs take all. This is our year!
April 19th, 2007 at 11:34 pm
Warriors have won 9 out of the last 11 against the Mavs…My mind says Mavs, but my heart says Warriors win it all, and repeat next year.

Hey are you reading a book this month?

Mavs will win it all. The East looks very week. Suns have an outside chance.

Inderjit… you think that A. the Warriors will beat the Mavs, B. the Warriors will then beat either the Suns or Spurs (we all know the Lakers and Nuggets are done before this thing gets off the ground) then C. Beat the Eastern Conference Champs (the Bulls in my prediction) and then finally D. Do it all again next year? Surely you’re kidding, or just very ignorant.
April 22nd, 2007 at 5:54 pm
the heat are going to swomp every body they play
April 22nd, 2007 at 6:30 pm

April 22nd, 2007 at 8:39 pm
What happened to the Mavs =)
April 22nd, 2007 at 10:01 pm
That hurt. I feel Mark Cuban’s pain. Baron Davis was insane, I am speechless.
4-1. Mavs. =)

Playoffs = new season and the Warriors are playing great basketball.
Warriors can make it past round 1 because they match up very well against the Mavs. They do not match up well against Nuggets or Spurs. The Mavs will come back in this series when they remember that they’re a good team and capitalize on the Warrior’s glaring weaknesses. Nevertheless, the Warriors play with an incredile amount of confidence fueled by the best fans in the NBA. This friday is going to be absolute chaos in Oakland.
I like the Bulls a lot, but who’s more money than D Wade in the fourth quarter?

The Raptors over the Cavs?! Honestly!!! And the Pistons have way more game than the Heat…
And Phoenix will never beat San Antonio. Not in a million years.
April 24th, 2007 at 11:56 am
PISTINZ ALL THA WAY! Mavz will loze in tha 1st round and the finals will b denver vs detroit and detroit will win it
April 24th, 2007 at 12:35 pm
It got the Suns in the West, and the Cleveland in the East.
April 24th, 2007 at 5:44 pm
are you people serious, i dont know if anyone has noticed but miami….terrible. with wade hurt and a 400lb 37 year old man slopping his way down the court(usually about 30 seconds to late to play D) . aside from that, raptors beating the nets is near impossible, nets in post season 6 years in a row, raptors first year in a gang of time, experiance has to account for something. and the nets won something like 20-25 last games of the season. spurs are a tremendous team and dont get enough respect.it will be a good game (suns v sputs) but with ginobli (the real 6th man of the NBA) LETS BE SERIOUS PEOPLE
April 25th, 2007 at 11:25 am
spurs all the way
April 25th, 2007 at 11:39 am
I’ve got the Western Conference exactly the same with another great Mavs and Suns showdown for the west, with a Mavs win in 7. However, in the East I’m taking a Detroit win over the Heat, who just don’t seem to have it like they used to. Also, Kidd and the Nets are gonna get the upset and take down Toronto only to lose to the Cavs later. It’s gonna be a matchup in the East between Detroit and the Cleveland, to play the Mavs in the finals, I’m going with Cleveland over the cocky Pistons in 7 with the Mavs winning it all in 6.
April 25th, 2007 at 11:44 am
Heat were in the same position last year, and it ended in a championship. Shaq is a big reason why they can come back and dunks will always be high percentage shots!
The East is Heat, Pistons, Bulls…
The West is Spurs, Suns, Nuggets, Rockets…
Warriors have no pressure, ‘no chance’, so I see them being even keel throughout the playoffs(assuming they’ll beat the Mavs). Aces are wild baby!
April 27th, 2007 at 12:04 am
You call yourself from the bay area!? This is MADNESS Tony!
GO WARRIORS!
April 27th, 2007 at 5:50 pm

April 30th, 2007 at 6:58 pm

May 1st, 2007 at 5:20 am
TONY TONY TONY…..your bracket seems to have been a waste of time. It’s actually amuzing in a comical kind of way. So as to keep your humiliation to a low degree, may I suggest you place the SPURS in the championship part of your bracket? GO SPURS GO!!

How sad to watch the Mavericks offense stuck doing the same thing over and over when they most needed a bucket to hold onto a lead at the end of game 4 at Golden state.
Pass it around the perimer looking for a jumper or try to slash to the hoop. Once again NO POST UP GAME! Baron Davis or any other “midget” could sit back and play zone at center because the Mavericks literally NEVER post up anyone! Just unbelievable.
Dirk at 7 foot tall NEVER posted up but continued to stay utterly predictable and look for passing lanes leading to slashes or jumpshots but NEVER a post up.
It’s incredible that the Mavericks coaching staff could fall into such a RUT with their offensive mindset. It’s like they are victims of their own success because that offense worked against everyone else all year. They couldn’t figure out that the Warriors were taking away jumpshots and slashers but stayed wide open and vulnerable to POSTUPS of big men which the Mavericks never exploit.
Incredible meltdown and I have to put it 90% on the Mavericks coaching staff.
The center and every other player has to be some type of scoring threat. Even if they can’t post up, they have to dive cut, or hit little short open set shots and make a few free throws but they can’t sit there and be left alone while their star player get’s double and triple teamed.
Think about it this way, how can Dirk be double and triple teamed for a entire series without the other players ending up with easy shots and/or lots of free throws attempts?
Credit the Warriors because they do recover quickly but no one can move faster than a quick pass of the ball. There are holes in that defense and the Mavs offense simply isn’t finding them. You’d think the Warriors have 6 or 7 guys on the floor, but it’s not, it’s only 5 like everyone else.

I am praying for the Mavericks tonight.
Dirk needs to wake up. Mark Cuban better be praying too…

We’ll see man. If Dallas comes out hungry, we could be in for a game seven.
Wouldn’t that be interesting…

Guess what? you’re gonna have to do some major rearrangement to your brackets esp the GS-DAL portion lol. While you’re at it, maybe you should add an extra bracket after the 07 Finals have been decided. It will be a best of 7 series between Dallas and Miami to decide who’s the worse loser lol.
May 5th, 2007 at 12:47 am
