I’m Inspired by Charles W. Davidson
Tonight I was at an engineering scholarship awards banquet in downtown San Jose. It was a pretty inspirational event. Some great speakers with interesting perspectives.
One thing that really caught my attention is the charisma and generosity of a man by the name of Charles W. Davidson (center in photo).

He broke records by donating the largest sum of money to the College of Engineering ever at SJSU (the largest private, individual donation in the history of SJSU and the CSU system).
$15 million.
That’s a hefty amount. I admire Mr. Davidson. I hope to be like him one day. I hope to come back and speak to students in a prestigious environment one day. I hope to give back. I will accomplish this.

So he graduated from SJSU, civil engineering degree from 1957 I believe. Went on to create five companies that revolve around real estate: DKB Homes; L & D Construction; DKD Property Management; Davidson Homes; and the Charles W. Davidson Company.
