Some more Geekwhat Hacking

I was bored earlier today living the sweet post-grad-vacation-for-a-bit life, so I decided to clean up some stuff on geekwhat.com. Two things:
- Turned off the community login feature for now. My intention with the login tool was to make it easier to leave comments. I also wanted to implement a forum feature. I guess I was a bit too ambitious, there are some code issues beyond the scope of my knowledge. So if you know how to implement this, please talk to me. I’d love to get that function working.
- Killed some Google ads. I noticed some of the Google advertisements I had on here were a bit irrelevant and not being clicked on (specifically the top row right under the black bar). The site looks cleaner now.
Question: Do you like the excerpts of recent posts section (orange section) below? Or would you rather see all the posts in their entirety on the front page?
I kinda dig the new look. =) I’ll be heading to LA tomorrow. Meet up anyone?

Good to hear you lived in Austin, I made it into UT and loved the campus, but decided to venture elsewhere.

I was talking to Noah about that… I don’t like the excerpts of recent posts section (orange section)… I’m unlikely to click on each entry separately and would prefer to have them all on the same page.

Thanks Nii for the feedback. I guess that’s one for removing the orange abyss. Any other opinions?

Must agree with Nii here…not too keen on the orange bit with post excerpts - think it would be nicer to show the whole post, but if you’re worried about the size, show only 4/5. Otherwise…looks great!
