Kanye West, Innovation and Novelty

If there are two things that America does supremely well, they are:
- Basketball
- Hip Hop
America has reigned in these two industries for a long period of time (yes the USA basketball team has lost a few championships, but the top talent is still in USA). Here is a great example of why America continues to lead in hip hop:

This is Kanye West’s newest music video. Why is this a good example? Innovation and novelty.
- Kanye sampled a classic Daft Punk song into this single (quite unorthodox).
- The Japanese influence and novel comic book effect gives this video a completely fresh vibe for American viewers.
It’s hard to break new ground and be accepted. American artists continue to do this and strike gold quite frequently. Two examples: Linkin Park - Hybrid Theory, Timbaland - Shock Value. What is this a result of?
